About Me
In the early 1970s I moved to Canberra to study and I have lived in the region ever since. In 30 years of marriage, amidst the glorious chaos of parenthood, careers, sport and community involvement, my husband and I have raised three wonderful, talented children, one of whom is a former ACT Young Australian of the Year.
Some time ago I attended a funeral where the celebrant mispronounced the names of grieving family members and generally blundered his way through the ceremony. As a result of this experience I decided to train to become a celebrant. Celebrants are offered a unique opportunity to be involved in the lives of others in times of great sorrow and in times of great joy and we must always be mindful of how our words and actions may impact other people.
The Canberra / Queanbeyan area offers couples a choice of many wonderful locations for a wedding ceremony. One of my favourite places is on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin at dusk, a beautiful time and place for an intimate ceremony.
It is an honour and a privilege to be involved with couples as they realise their dream of a wedding ceremony designed just for them. It is also lots of fun, I just love it!
